I've had a holiday house at Bonnie Doon, in the Victorian High Country since I was in grade 3 so 20 something years. I go every school holidays, public holiday and most weekends in between. Our holiday house is right on Lake Eildon. There has been water in the lake so high you can almost not make it under the road and train bridges and no water at all that we have ridden our dirt bikes under them. The ever changing landscapes intrigue me you just never know what you will see on every trip up there.
I got so in love with the nature and country side I started taking many photos capturing the moments. I had that many photos I was pretty proud of I didn't really know how to share them with others living and holidaying at Bonnie Doon. I entered a small photography competition up there and was the lucky first prize winner. I was pretty happy with myself but knew I still needed to get them out there amongst the community. I finally got enough courage to approach the Bonnie Bar a little café/bar in the heart of Bonnie Doon selling delicious food and drinks made from local produce. They were so happy to help me out and couldn't wait to hang them on their walls. I ended up printing 4 of my favourite photos on to canvas' for them.
It was such a proud moment driving up to the front of the bar entrance and then stepping out of the car and seeing them right there through the windows. It's a great feeling sharing my love of the area with those also living and holidaying

there.
